We give 1% of Coverwatch for Resilient Communities revenue to vetted environmental partners through 1% for the Planet, off the top line.
Carbon-neutral San Francisco operations
The day-to-day of placing your coverage runs carbon neutral, so it doesn’t work against the record we ask carriers to keep.
How we score carriers
Two different questions: will the carrier pay your claim, and where does it stand on climate. We answer each with its own independent source, and never let one stand in for the other.
Will they pay the claim?
AM Best grades an insurer's financial strength, its ability to pay claims years down the road. Before we place you, we look at the rating on every carrier that quotes and favor those rated A- (Excellent) or higher. A good price means nothing if the company behind it cannot pay when you need it.

Where do they stand on climate?
The independent Insure Our Future 2024 scorecard grades the world's largest insurers on how far they restrict coal and oil-and-gas underwriting. When two carriers protect you equally, we point you up this list, not down it.
